KNOW WHAT YOU’RE CHECKING
The record matters.
So does the coverage.
A useful vehicle-history report explains what was searched, what was found, and what remains unknown.
CarReport.ie paid reports are in development. There is no live history-report checkout. The coverage below is a buyer’s guide to evaluating reports, not a claim of data we currently supply.
Outstanding finance
Confirm the package includes finance for the relevant countries. A pending result needs resolution.
What to look forRecorded write-offs
Understand the category, source and date. No record found does not mean accident-free.
What to look forMileage history
Compare dated readings and units. Missing records must remain visible.
What to look forEarlier UK history
Establish the previous registration and exactly which UK checks are included.
What to look forVehicle identity
Match the report and documents to the actual vehicle. A plate search is not physical verification.
What to look forNCT & official checks
Check the current position on official services. An NCT does not assess every buying risk.
What to look forThe result language matters.
No matching record in the searched source. It is not proof that the event never happened.
A record or inconsistency needs investigation. An alert is not an automatic diagnosis.
The source or check did not supply a result. Treat it as unknown.
Further processing or manual review is outstanding. Wait for resolution.
